The headstone reads: Children of D & S Eastman Above the earth our children dwell, Above the strife and cares of life, Where all is peaceful bright and fair, Their home is there their home is there

Darius and Ruby were the children of Darius Sr., and Susanna Eastman. The two were married in 1854 and they raised seven children. Darius Jr. was born July 4, 1863 in Wisconsin. Ruby was also born in Wisconsin on Apr 10, 1868.
